Two ways to view.
1. Special Independent Spirit Award member screenings
If you are a member who lives in Los Angeles or New York, you can see the nominated films at our special Independent Spirit Award screenings. Screening schedules will be posted in January 2007.
2.Netflix /Spirit Awards Site
In an effort to provide greater access to the nominated films for voting members of Film Independent, Netflix will make participating nominated films accessible to all voting members, free of charge, on a specially-created Independent Spirit Awards Members Viewing Site.
As a voting member, you will receive a FREE, three-month membership to Netflix, which will give you direct access to a selection of the films nominated for the 2007 Independent Spirit Awards. Many of the nominated films have no distribution or are no longer in the theater, so the easiest way to see them is through this special offer.
The site has been pre-populated with the available titles, and will be updated with newly available titles each week. Once you sign up, they will start shipping DVDs to you immediately.
Getting started is easy!
In your nomination packet you will receive a unique PIN#. (The PIN# will be printed in RED on the back flap of the return envelope that comes with your ballot.)
Not already a Netflix member?
Visit the Netflix website and enter the PIN# in the "Special Offer Code" box (located on the top right corner of the page).
Already a Netflix member?
Enter the PIN# in the "Special Offer Code" box in Your Account (located on the bottom right side of the page).
(If you don't want to alter the films already in your queue, you can choose to open a separate account. To do this you will need to start a second membership using an alternate email address and follow the instructions for new members above. This option allows you to have up to three films in addition to your regular membership.)
You can have up to three films in hand at once; every time you send one back, Netflix will ship the next movie on your list, FREE of charge.
The films come in postage-paid envelopes, so just drop them in the mail when you are done.
