At Film Independent, we outfit filmmakers with the production services they need to get their movies made easier and more affordably. As a member you'll have access to the following services.
PRODUCTION RENTALS
In order for you to get the most out of your rentals, we ask that you follow the guidelines as set forth below:
How To Reserve Room or Equipment
You must have production insurance or a valid credit card for all rentals.
For all reservations, you will need to provide the spelling of your first and last name, phone number, your email address, and a credit card number with expiration date. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.
Payment
Your credit card number is required to hold the reservation. Your card will not be charged unless you fail to cancel before 24 hours and/or don't show up.
You may pay with cash, check, credit (V/MC, Amex), or ATM/Debit card when you come in. Payment for rental of equipment or room must be made in full when checking out the equipment or before using room.
A deposit is required for all equipment rentals in lieu of production insurance. The deposit fee varies based on equipment value.
Cancellation and Fees/No Shows
To cancel, we must receive a written cancellation of your reservation (either via email to eward@filmindependent.org or fax 310.432.1203 no less than 24 hours prior to your scheduled time (Friday by 5:00 pm for Monday appointments).
Cancellations given with less notice will be subject to a prep fee of up to 100%.
Where to pick up or drop off your rentals
Film Independent is located at 9911 W. Pico Blvd., 11th Floor, Los Angeles, CA 90035. Cross street is Roxbury.
Parking
Parking is available in our building for $2.05 every 12 minutes, with a maximum of $16.40. Unfortunately, we are unable to validate parking at this time. Parking in the building garage is free for Film Independent visitors after 5:30 pm and street parking is free after 6:00 pm.
