(March 29, 2006) LOS ANGELES FILM FESTIVAL IS MOVING FROM H`WOOD TO W`WOOD VILLAGE
LOS ANGELES (March 29, 2006) – SAVE THE DATE! Westwood Village will be the new home of Film Independent's Los Angeles Film Festival, which runs from Thursday, June 22–Sunday, July 2. In its expanded location, festival-goers will experience the best of American and international cinema enjoying over 170 feature films and shorts, including Coffee Talks, Poolside Chats and other special star-studded events. Westwood Village will showcase the films among 11 theaters, all within walking distance of each other, with ample, convenient parking, and easy access to shopping and dining, setting the stage for the biggest festival yet.
"With 60,000 attendees last year and more expected this year, Westwood Village is the perfect location to handle our festival's growing audience," said Festival Director Rich Raddon. "Patrons will discover easy access to screenings, events, restaurants, shopping, parking and parking shuttles making this year's festival better than ever."

Over the course of 10 days and 11 nights, the public is invited to take advantage of world premieres including both independent films and major studio releases, tribute screenings, outdoor movies, celebrity-filled Red Carpets, VIP parties and more.
Screenings will be held in Westwood at Royce Hall, James Bridges Theater and Melnitz Hall on the UCLA campus and at the Geffen Playhouse, Mann Village Theatre, Landmark Regent Theatre, Italian Cultural Institute, Mann Festival Theater, Mann National Theater, Hammer Museum and the Majestic Crest Theater.
