ALUMNI NEWS: Post-Production, Creative Producing & Sigur Rós
Filmmakers receive support and guidance in various forms while participating in our Artist Development Labs. Our biggest hope when our Fellows have completed their labs with us is that they continue to make progress with their projects, and that they continue to create. In turn, we like to keep up with them so we can continue to support their work. That said, here’s the latest with some of our Fellows…
Get Your Post on with Fellow Chris Russo
Chris—an alumna of both our Directors and Screenwriters Labs—recently launched THE POST LAB. Geared toward the indie filmmaker, THE POST LAB’s mission is to become a repository of extremely helpful information — case studies, workflow diagrams, interviews with filmmakers about their creative and technical processes in post-production — that will demystify some of the technical aspects of post-production, and inspire creative solutions.
Going Places with Fellow PJ Raval
Congrats are in order for this Doc Lab and Fast Track Fellow! In the last couple weeks, PJ has received a Sundance grant for his Untitled Gay Retiree Documentary, and has just been selected for Sundance’s Creative Producing Lab. You can learn more about PJ and his project in our recent interview with him.
Fellow Ramin Bahrani Makes Sweet Music
(videos, that is)
Hailed as “the new great American director” by Roger Ebert, this Film Independent Fellow took some time in between creating his next master work to helm the latest video for ethereal Icelandic band Sigur Rós. Watch it here:
