FILM INDEPENDENT FELLOWS AT FESTIVALS, IN THE TRADES, AND ON YOUR RADAR
Many of today’s top independent film leaders have participated in our Film Independent Labs for screenwriters, directors, and producers. Here’s a look at some of their recent accomplishments:
Film Independent Fellow Lynn Shelton (Someone to Watch Award) and Steven Schardt (Screenwriters Lab), comedic drama Your Sister’s Sister starring Emily Blunt and Rosemarie DeWitt just sold to IFC at the Toronto International Film Festival, reports Deadline Hollywood.
Fellow Jenny Deller (Screenwriters Lab, Producers Lab, Fast Track, Sloan Grant winner) has been selected for a new joint program of the Film Society of Lincoln Center and the IFP, called Emerging Visions. The program runs concurrently with the New York Film Festival and is designed to introduce emerging film talent to established directors and producers. More details here.
Olivia Silver’s feature directorial debut, Arcadia, starring John Hawkes, is being produced by Julien Favre (Producers Lab) and co-executive produced by Mynette Louie (Fast Track). The film recently got a nice write-up in The Hollywood Reporter.
