Evan Ward-Henninger is the Membership Manager at Film Independent. He took on this role in May 2008 after working with the Membership department in numerous capacities over the previous 3 years. In his position as Manager, Evan oversees all aspects of Membership including customer services, Spirit Awards voting, campaigns/promotions, and public outreach.

Evan began his work in the entertainment industry in 2000 after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Screenwriting/Communications from Loyola Marymount University. As a freelance script reader he worked with David Ladd Films/MGM, The Academy Writers Clinic, Vintage Entertainment, The American Accolades Screenwriting Competition, and Torque Entertainment.

Evan is also a screenwriter in his own right, having been accepted into Film Independent's Mentorship program Project: Involve in 2004, where he worked closely with Writer/Director Kasi Lemmons (Talk to Me, Eve's Bayou). He has written several feature length screenplays and has been hired as primary and secondary screenwriter on a variety of independent films.
