Rental Guidelines

How to Reserve Equipment
- You must be a current Film Independent member in order to rent equipment or rooms.
- Fill out the form below, or you can call (310) 432-1264 or email eward@filmindependent.org. You will receive a response within 2 business days.
- For all reservations, you will need to provide the spelling of your first and last name, member #, phone number, the spelling of your email address, a credit card number and expiration date. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.
- Be advised that the information you provide on the Membership Administrators voice mail or email can only be accessed by the Membership Administrator.
- Film Independent members must be current on all monies due to use any Film Independent services.
Payment
- Your credit card number is required to hold the reservation. Your card will not be charged unless you fail to cancel before 24 hours and/or dont show up.
- You may pay with cash, check, credit (V/MC, Amex), or ATM/Debit card when you come in. Payment for rental of equipment or room must be made in full when checking out the equipment or before using room.
- There is a mandatory minimum $500 deposit in order to rent each large piece of equipment.
Cancellation / No Shows
- To cancel, we must receive a written cancellation of your reservation (either via email to eward@filmindependent.org or fax (310) 432-1203) no less than 24 hours prior to your scheduled time (Friday by 6pm for Monday appointments). Cancellations given with less notice will be subject to a prep fee of up to 100%. We will charge the card that is holding the reservation.
Parking
- We do not validate parking. Parking is available in our building for $1.95 every 15 minutes, with a maximum of $16.00. Street parking is free after 6PM.
