The annual Directors Close-Up, our signature program celebrating the art and craft of directing, is set to return, featuring conversations with directors, writers and creators nominated for the 2026 Film Independent Spirit Awards.
 

All online. Free for Members.

Directors Close-Up will consist of nine online sessions taking place over the course of two weeks; January 20-23 at 12:00 pm PT, and January 26-30 at 5:30 pm PT.

Each session will highlight a unique Spirit Awards category and only Film Independent Members have the opportunity to tune in live and join the discussion by submitting their questions to the panelists.
