Festival Visions: Tiger

Festival Visions: Tiger
Festival Visions, now in its third year, is a series that shines a light on films discovered this year in regional film festivals across the US. We’re excited to present these exceptional titles that are currently without distribution and deserve to be seen by a wider audience.
You’re invited to join us for an online screening of Tiger, followed by a pre-recorded conversation with director Loren Waters moderated by Ambriehl Turrentine (Programming Coordinator, Denver Film Festival).
Tiger was selected for Festival Visions in partnership with the Denver Film Festival and will screen alongside Night in West Texas. (Remember, no need to register for both of these titles – as long as you register for one film, you’ll be able to see both.)
Dana Tiger was just five years old when her father, legendary Muscogee Creek artist Jerome Tiger, passed away. She turned to his art as a way to know him, the richness of her culture, and the bounty of her family’s artistic tradition. In memory of Jerome’s art and to support their family, Dana’s mother and uncle started a booming t-shirt printing business in the 1980s. Then, tragedy struck their family once more. Dana’s younger brother, Chris Tiger, was ruthlessly murdered and their business was brought to a halt. Dana and her family have worked for nearly 30 years to revitalize the iconic company, through immense grief and suffering from Parkinson’s. Now, everybody wants to get their hands on a Tiger t-shirt.
