Festival Visions: Everything You Have Is Yours

Festival Visions: Everything You Have Is Yours
Festival Visions, now in its third year, is a series that shines a light on films discovered this year in regional film festivals across the US. We’re excited to present these exceptional titles that are currently without distribution and deserve to be seen by a wider audience.
You’re invited to join us for an online screening of Everything You Have Is Yours, followed by a pre-recorded conversation with director Tatyana Tenenbaum, producer Brighid Greene and lead subject Hadar Ahuvia moderated by Dan Brawley (Executive Director, Cucalorus Film Festival).
Everything You Have Is Yours was selected for Festival Visions in partnership with the Cucalorus Film Festival and will screen alongside On a Sunday at Eleven. (Remember, no need to register for both of these titles – as long as you register for one film, you’ll be able to see both.)
In Everything You Have Is Yours, NYC-based choreographer Hadar Ahuvia interrogates the roots of the Israeli folk dances she grew up dancing with her mother in the U.S. Confronting romanticized stories about her grandparents, settlers in 1930s Palestine, Ahuvia embarks on a personal journey to reckon with the founding mythologies and transgressions of Zionism. Through her work, a web of artistic portraits emerges – Jewish, Israeli, and Palestinian dancers living in New York City grapple with the questions of what we inherit and what we embody to carry forward.
