Logline

Tired of being single, a gay man in his last week of college decides to try experimenting with women. It can’t be that hard…right?

Synopsis

Gabriel Hobbes (22) is having a quarter-life crisis. After a surprisingly enjoyable viewing of straight porn, he nukes his Grindr profile and decides to play for the other team. His subconscious immediately manifests as Queen, a fabulous, furious drag queen in a sparkly jumpsuit who bursts from his closet to scream her disapproval.

Ignoring the phantom diva, Gabriel tells his best friend, Corie, that he’s going “straight” for their college’s legendary “Last Chance” party: a hookup lottery where seniors list their final crushes. Corie is horrified, especially when Gabriel enlists her longtime crush, Brian, to facilitate a “bro makeover.” A montage ensues, with Gabriel ignoring Queen’s outraged commentary as he transforms into a backwards-hat-wearing frat boy.

At the party, the clock strikes midnight. Gabriel heads to his assigned meet-up spot expecting a girl, but finds Brian waiting. Twist! Then, a girl named Celia walks in. Bigger twist! Brian simply shrugs, grabs them both, and initiates a steamy three-way make-out session. But as Gabriel leans in to kiss Celia, he hallucinates Queen’s judging face on her. He shrieks and flees, crashing right into a heartbroken Corie outside.

She gives Gabriel a kiss on the cheek, and, when he opens his eyes, she’s gone. Like she had never even been there to begin with. But, in his reflection, Gabriel sees the lipstick on his cheek. He touches it gently, smiles, and walks out.
