Logline

Novelist Uncle Baby Benny and influencer @catlikesmoney cross paths at a vacation rental in Monterey, CA where they form a symbiotic bond in their shared pursuit for meaning in the weirdness of being a human on this planet.

Synopsis

Chapter One: LOS ANGELES juxtaposes Uncle Baby Benny and @catlikesmoney’s parallel experiences in the city as he attempts to record a new episode of his YouTube series The N’Night Show to promote the upcoming release of his new book Again and Again Then The End and she navigates live-streaming to her subscribers and self-taping auditions…until a bizarre private request leads to Cat needing an escape from her demanding life online while supplying her with enough cash to seek refuge.

Chapter Two: MONTEREY intertwines their worlds when Uncle Baby Benny arrives at his vacation rental to learn from the eccentric host that the property’s previous guest @catlikesmoney has extended her reservation and Uncle Baby Benny will have to cohabitate with her, which initiates a friendship that will ultimately elevate both of their creative pursuits.

After a brief Intervallo in SIENA, ITALY, Cat is called back from her solo adventure with an opportunity from Uncle Baby Benny to be the lead in his new short film GRETA and Chapter Three: “Greta” intertwines the films.

The thematic elements laid out in the preceding segments are now fully illumined: love and longing, and the absence of those things; being suspended in specific moments in time, stuck spinning in a perpetual cycle of vivid memories in spite of the desire to move forward…and as we watch the spectacle, we understand that Uncle Baby Benny and Cat were destined to come together in order to set each other free from their cycles, and to move forward in their lives and their art…leading with love, and allowing the rest to follow….

Again and Again Then The End won 1st Place at the Luca Severi Production Group Winter 2025 Wrapline competition and is currently seeking finishing funds for post production.

Meet the Filmmakers

Benjamin Font — Writer/Director/Producer/Uncle Baby Benny
BENJAMIN FONT is an up-and-coming writer/director whose film career began as the co-writer of Robert Schwartzman’s Dreamland, which premiered at Tribeca and was released by Orion Pictures. He has several feature projects in development and is also the author of ten books, including his forthcoming collection AGAIN AND AGAIN THEN THE END.

A self-taught artist and storyteller originally from Lincoln, Nebraska, Font currently resides in Los Angeles where he works as a freelance writer/director and is on The Development Slate with the International Screenwriters’ Association, who named him one of their Top 25 Screenwriters to Watch.
