Members-Only Screening: Tuner

Film Independent Members, you and a guest are invited to join us for a theatrical screening of Tuner, including an in-person conversation with actor Tovah Feldshuh.

Tuner follows Niki White (Leo Woodall), a talented piano tuner with a unique and meticulous auditory condition. As he crisscrosses New York City’s streets, hallowed concert halls, and tonal neighborhoods with his blunt and charismatic mentor Harry Horowitz (Dustin Hoffman), Niki encounters a rotating cast of clients, including Ruthie (Havana Rose Liu), a driven composition student who challenges his musical and moral compass. When security contractor Uri (Lior Raz) learns Niki’s hypersensitive hearing is worth more for cracking safes than for opening Steinways, he offers Niki a risky opportunity that could help Harry and his devoted wife Marla (Tony Award-winner Tovah Feldshuh) manage their mounting medical crisis.

From Black Bear, the film premiered at the 2025 Telluride Film Festival and will open in New York and Los Angeles on May 22, and expand on May 29.
