Haya is an Oscar and Emmy-winning documentary filmmaker based in Pakistan. She is also Co-Founder of the Documentary Association of Pakistan which promotes documentary filmmaking in Pakistan by organizing film festivals, developing new audiences, mentoring emerging filmmakers, and building a community of local filmmakers that has access to global markets. Haya is a Fulbright alum, a GATHER Fellow, an Acumen Fellow and a Global Media Makers Fellow. She is also an Associate Professor of Practice at Habib University.
