Subhadra Mahajan, Mumbai-based, originally from Himachal Pradesh. Subhadra’s debut feature film, Second Chance, premiered at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in the Proxima Competition in July 2024. The film garnered rave reviews across the board, subsequently travelling to more than 40 festivals worldwide, including Busan, AFI Fest, Sao Paulo, Adelaide, and IFFK. Platoon Distribution theatrically released the film in India in June 2025, a unique feat for an arthouse black & white indie without a star cast in the country. A Berlinale Talent of 2025, Subhadra is currently developing multiple projects, on her own and through collaborations.
