Miriam Chandy Menachwrry is a BAFTA breakthrough filmmaker and Fulbright scholar. Her long form documentaries have been awarded internationally and broadcast on channels like National Geographic Channel, BBC, Arte and Netflix. She is best known for From the Shadows, which won the President’s Gold Medal or National Award for the sensitive portrayal of survivors of child sex trafficking fighting for justice. Her other award winning films are Lyari Notes, The Leopards Tribe, The Rat Race, Robot Jockey and Stuntmen of Bollywood. She also directed a 7-part series for BBC World. Miriam is currently co-directing her first fiction feature.
