Fed up with her isolation, a lonely woman makes a Craigslist post that brings together four strangers for a bizarre encounter with a side of pie.

Synopsis

A woman in Costco sees their massive pies and longs to share one with others. She writes a Craigslist ad calling for strangers to share a Costco pie with her. While she awaits this meeting she visits the park and meets a runaway bride on her own path toward community. She meets the four strangers who responded to her ad in the Costco parking lot with one of the big pies. They begin to eat the pie together and as they do, an alien frenzy takes hold of them. They all devour the pie ravenously with their bare hands, the eating becomes passionate, disorienting, sensual. Then it is over. The strangers leave one by one, and the woman is alone once more.

Meet the Filmmakers

Isobel Obrecht — Director
Isobel Obrecht is a first-time film director. They have worked as a Mary Shelley impersonator, stage manager, actor, and director for theater. They worked as a fact checker and associate producer for comedy news TV show HAVE I GOT NEWS FOR YOU and now works as a freelance writer, fact-checker, and part-time florist. Their favorite kind of pie is blackberry.

Ashe Villas Boas — Producer
Ashe Villas Boas is a New York based producer, former camera technician, and co-founder of Alter Ego Pictures. Specializing in slice-of-life narratives with experimental elements, surrealist world building, and multimedia components. She has produced a wide range of projects, including short films, promotional and social media content, and TV pilots. Her projects have been sponsored by companies like Barbosal, Bellesa, and Sculpey. Her favorite kind of pie is pecan.
