NanoWave: The Microbudget Film (r)evolution, Part 3

Over the course of NanoWave: The Microbudget Film (r)evolution, we’ll dive into ultra-microbudget filmmaking and the filmmakers who are producing independent films with budgets under $100,000. The six-part series will explore this revolutionary model of storytelling and the artists who get the job done with minimal resources. Through case studies and panel discussions, we will hear directly from filmmakers, key crew members and microbudget champions who are carving their own path within independent film…

Over the past year, we’ve heard from filmmakers who have carved their own path in microbudget filmmaking. Creating memorable stories on limited budgets, these artists have proven you don’t need studio money to get your stories told. In addition to microbudgets, there is another element these films have in common: a hardworking, motivated and dedicated team of below-the-line artists who help craft these stories.

For part three of our NanoWave series, we’ll shine a spotlight on the talented artisans who work tirelessly to bring a director’s vision to life. Gain insight via a candid conversation about what you need (and what you need but can’t afford) to make low budget films become a reality.

Discussing the art behind their craft will be cinematographer Juan Camilo Barriga (Ludi), VFX artist Owen Dennis (AJ Goes to the Dog Park), and more to be announced.
