Logline

When a thirty-something gay man’s viral rant about corporate life turns into a bold podcast, he rallies his three best friends in Los Angeles to tackle love, sex, friendship, and self-worth head-on.

Synopsis

The men of Size Queen are doing everything right…on paper.
They have jobs that sound like careers. They date constantly. They live in Los Angeles, chasing the lives they thought they’d have by now.

But they’re not quite happy. Not quite settled. Not quite who they thought they’d be.

While their straight friends pair off, get married, and start families, these men are stuck in a different loop, one of situationships, stalled ambition, and the quiet, creeping fear that maybe the life they imagined doesn’t actually exist for them.

Size Queen lives in that in-between: when you’re no longer young enough to be aimless, but not successful enough to feel secure, when you know exactly what you want, but have no idea how to get it, and when love, sex, and friendship start to blur in ways that are funny, messy, and sometimes a little devastating.

Size Queen follows four distinct gay men, each with their own perspective on love, ambition, and identity, as they navigate that space together. Each episode will be framed through Chris’s podcast, which explores the questions and confessions people rarely say out loud. This series is about friendship, reinvention, and the search for a life that actually feels like your own.

Meet the Filmmakers

KENNY FIERRO — Writer/Director/Producer
Kenny Fierro is a Los Angeles–based writer, director, and producer originally from Long Island, New York. After working in marketing roles for companies including Apple, Google, and the Los Angeles Times, Kenny shifted his focus toward storytelling and taught himself filmmaking through independent production, writing, and hands-on creative work.

His debut short film, Size Queen, follows four queer friends navigating love, sex, ambition, and self-worth in Los Angeles. Currently on the festival circuit, the film is building momentum and connecting with audiences while serving as a proof of concept for a larger web series Kenny is actively developing with his creative team. Inspired by the kinds of authentic, messy, funny, and emotionally honest queer stories he rarely saw growing up, Kenny created Size Queen to tell stories that feel both deeply specific and universally relatable. Through the expansion of the series, he hopes to build a world audiences can recognize themselves in — one that explores chosen family, modern relationships, reinvention, and the chaos of figuring out who you are and what you want. Support from this campaign will help bring future episodes of Size Queen to life and continue expanding authentic queer storytelling on screen.
