A key figure in Nepal’s New Wave cinema, Min Bahadur Bham is dedicated to bringing authentic Himalayan narratives to global stage. His journey began with The Flute (2012), the first Nepali film at Venice, followed by his debut feature, The Black Hen (2015), which won Venice’s FEDEORA Award. His second feature, Shambhala (2024), made history competing at the Berlinale and screening at Locarno’s Piazza Grande. Alongside filmmaking, Bham works as a producer and mentor, supporting emerging voices whose works have reached Venice, Berlin, and Busan. He is currently developing his third feature, The Last Stanza of Breath.
