Karol Mora Albarracin was born in Quibdó, Colombia in 1998. She was a student of Economics at the National University of Colombia. As a film producer she is interested in reflections on gender identity and culture from the margins of the territory. Her short films “Neneco” (FICCI, 2023), “Degenere” (Bogoshorts, 2023), and “Kanekalon” (in post-production) have been made possible thanks to the Film Development Fund –FDC– grant of Proimágenes Colombia. In 2024, she participated in the Campus Málaga Talent of MAFIZ – Málaga Film Festival (Spain). Locally, she participated in BAMMERS (Bogotá Audiovisual Market, 2020) and BIFF BANG! Executive Production Workshop (Bogotá International Film Festival, 2023), winning the latter.
