Dimon John is an indie filmmaker, born and raised in Colombo, Sri Lanka. With over 10 years of experience within the media industry, he has written and directed internationally acclaimed, award-winning short films and idea-based ad films. His debut short film “Waves Interrupted” (2018) had its world premiere at the 23rd Busan International Film Festival, South Korea. His other acclaimed short films as director and screenwriter include “Mr. Flex” (2019), and “Candy Wrapper Dolls” (2021). He has a strong passion for crafting offbeat narratives that tackle forbidden and overlooked social issues, resonating with audiences through genre films.
