Anya Perepelytsia was born in Luhansk, Ukraine (now this territory is occupied by Russia). In 2013, she moved to Kyiv and in 2014 began working as a videographer for the Hromadske media. She made webdocs and shot in the territory of the ATO (so-called Anti-Terrorist Operation in the East of Ukraine) and the annexed Crimea in 2014 and 2015. Until 2018, she worked in various media in Kyiv as a director and cameraperson. Since 2018, she has been filming and editing documentaries, feature films, and music videos. She is also working on her debut short feature film. Flowers on Marsovo will be her debut as a producer.
