Oleksandr Roshchyn studied cinematography at the Kyiv National University of Cinema. In 2011, he debuted as a cinematographer with the short film “Haydamaka”. Since then, he has been working in film production as a cinematographer. The feature film Stop Zemlia, lensed by Oleksandr, premiered at the 2021 Berlin International Film Festival and won the main Crystal Bear award from the Youth Jury. During the years of full-scale war, Oleksandr has developed his own ideas and has just shot his director’s fiction short film debut named “Stringer” and is developing his debut feature film Mamayi.
