Salah Issaad was born in 1989 in Algeria to an Algerian mother and a Tunisian father. He grew up in a family of publishers. He went on to study film at the University of Paris VIII. Balancing work and education, he attended ARFIS in Lyon, followed by Eicar Lyon, where he earned his Cinema Director diploma. He has directed and produced a feature film and several shorts, exploring various genres like drama and comedy. His feature film Soula debuted at the Red Sea Film Festival in 2021, winning multiple awards, including eight for best film.
