Members-Only Screening: A Long Winter

Film Independent Members, you and a guest are invited to join us for a theatrical screening of A Long Winter, including an in-person conversation with director Andrew Haigh, casting director Carmen Cuba, composer Paul Haslinger and editor Jonathan Alberts, moderated by Jack Smart (People).

In 1951, high in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains, Mike’s world is thrown into uncertainty when his mother vanishes into the wilderness. Alongside his complicated father, and with their small mountain community rallying together against the unforgiving winter, Mike embarks on a search that leads him toward an unexpected journey of self-discovery, belonging and the quiet strength required to carry on.

From MUBI, A Long Winter played at the 2026 Telluride and Toronto International Film Festivals and will be released in theaters January 22, 2027.
