A longtime staple of the LA Film Festival, our Coffee Talks series has brought together filmmakers in lively, fascinating, freewheeling conversations for years. Now, we’ve relaunched the series online so you can join in and enjoy your coffee with other filmmakers at home around the world.

Next up is a live conversation with Fredrica Bailey and Stefon Bristol, the filmmakers behind the Film Independent Spirit Award-winning See You Yesterday. They’ll take us from the film’s early iteration as a NYU thesis short to its bigger-budget, Spike Lee-produced, feature length version that snagged the Best First Screenplay award at the 2020 Film Independent Spirit Awards.
