Film Independent Members, you and a guest are invited to watch Monica in our Film Independent Presents Online Screening Room, powered by Vision Media. A special pre-recorded conversation with director/writer/producer Andrea Pallaoro and actor Patricia Clarkson, moderated by John Benjamin Hickey (actor, The Big C) is included as part of this screening experience.

Monica is an intimate portrait of a transgender woman who returns home after a long absence to confront the wounds of her past. Reconnecting with her mother and the rest of her family for the first time since leaving as a teenager, Monica embarks on a path of healing and acceptance. The film delves into Monica’s internal world and state of mind; her pain and fears, and her needs and desires, to explore the universal themes of abandonment and forgiveness.

Online Screening Policies

Availability window and registration capacity may vary; always register as early as possible to ensure access. Links are watermarked, nontransferable and may only be used by the Member who completed the registration. Limit one link per Membership, per event.
