Music Notes: Building the Soundtrack for Your Film

Get ready to learn everything you wanted to know about music for film in one evening. We’re pleased to welcome Andrew Gross and Gil Talmi from Konsonant Music for a detailed seminar on completing the soundtrack for your film, from both a creative and business perspective.

Topics covered will include: Temp Music – how to create a successful temp score for your rough cut (without getting married to it); Music Rights 101 – how to effectively license music for your film; Hiring a Composer – what to look for and how to ask the right questions before you make a deal; and the Director-Composer Relationship – how to communicate with a composer when you don’t have a musical background, and other strategies that can lead to a successful collaboration.
