Sloan Salon: Storytelling and Tech

As our relationship with technology continues to evolve, so do our stories. We are thrilled to partner with the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation to bring you a dynamic panel conversation that will delve into the technologies shaping our world today and how they are crafting stories around them.

Our annual Sloan Salon – Storytelling and Tech: Crafting Human-Centered Stories about Technology – will feature Sloan-supported storytellers discussing how they develop stories that highlight our relationship with technology. We will hear from experts working at the forefront of technological innovation, detailing the importance of telling inspiring stories with scientific accuracy.

The conversation will include Kogonada (writer/director, After Yang), Amelia Winger-Bearskin (Associate Professor of Artificial Intelligence and the Arts, University of Florida), Karim Jerbi (Professor, Canada Research Chair, Computational Neuroscience and Cognitive Neuroimaging, University of Montreal) and Sloan-supported storyteller Rom Lotan (writer, Code of Virtue), with veteran TV writer and producer Wendy Calhoun (Station 19, Empire, Nashville) serving as moderator.
