Tech Talk: Ideas to Immersion with Alton Glass
Tech Talk: Ideas to Immersion with Alton Glass
With the rapid development of AI technology, many questions and implications have emerged for creative individuals and industries. What shape will this new paradigm take? Are there ethical best practices? What are unique use cases? How can we protect creative careers and property? On a quarterly basis, we sit down with experts to engage in a series of conversations around these questions and more.
In this Tech Talk session, we welcome creative entrepreneur and immersive storyteller Alton Glass. He’ll share how he uses AI, motion capture and real-time 3D tools to rapidly prototype and refine ideas – empowering artists to not only experience and shape their stories before full production begins, but also build and expand cinematic worlds in entirely new ways.

As CEO of GRX Immersive Labs, Alton Glass is a filmmaker redefining digital storytelling, amplifying underrepresented voices and bringing new perspectives to life through emerging technologies. An alumnus of the Oculus Launch Pad and Unreal Engine Virtual Production Fellowship, he co-created The March for TIME; an immersive experience that recreates the 1963 March on Washington and Martin Luther King Jr.’s historic speech. His work has also been featured at the Tribeca Film Festival, including POV: Points of View, a sci-fi VR exploration of civil liberties impacted by AI surveillance and implicit bias in policing.
