Josie Totah

Josie Totah is a multi-talented actress, writer and producer. Josie began her career at the age of ten, performing at the Hollywood Improv before moving on to recurring roles on the Disney Channel series Jessie and the last season of Ryan Murphy’s hit Fox television show Glee as “Myron Muskovitz.” Totah then went on to capture audiences’ hearts with her unforgettable performance in the 2016 hit film Other People. The film, written and directed by Chris Kelly, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and also stars Molly Shannon, Jesse Plemons and Bradley Whitford.

Josie is currently in production on Legendary’s horror, Faces of Death. Most recently, Josie starred in and executive produced the NBCU/Peacock reboot of Saved by the Bell. Josie was nominated for a 2022 Critics Choice Award for her excellent work on the show as “Lexi,” a sharp-tongued cheerleader and the most popular girl at Bayside High. Josie also voices “Natalie” on the fourth season of Netflix’s hit animated series Big Mouth alongside Nick Kroll, John Mulaney, Seth Rogen and Lena Waithe. She can also be seen in Netflix’s feature film Moxie, directed by Amy Poehler, as well as a recurring role in Mr. Mayor on Peacock which Tina Fey wrote specifically for Josie.

Josie will also be seen starring in the upcoming new period drama series Debutantes, which is based on the Edith Warton novel, set to premiere on Apple TV+ later this year. Josie also sold a pitch to NBCU, based on her original idea that she co-created with Tracey Wigfield, which was bought in the room. She is in the final stages of writing the pilot, in which she is also set to star.

Josie also co-created the hit podcast Dare We Say for Crooked Media, which she co-hosts with her two best friends and is highly ranked on Apple’s podcast recommendations.
