Logline

On their college graduation day, Nate & Jennifer make an oath to meet every year on the same day – but when Jennifer gets caught in a time loop, aging forward and backward, it risks their happiness, sanity, and future.

Synopsis

27 JENNIFERS views the notions of traditional friendship through an unconventional looking glass. What starts as to a pact between two close friends twists into chaos and ultimately challenges the relationship at the center of the story, climaxing in a life-altering decision that they must make together.

We meet Nate and Jennifer at their college graduation, the future stretching out before them. When they make an oath to meet under the same tree every year on this day, their commitment is palpable. A gift to Jennifer from Nate to remind her of their plan seals the deal. The promise is undermined however when Jennifer is caught in a strange time loop with an uncertain pattern. Overnight, she can age by decades, but also the next meeting might have her appearing younger than she’s been in years.

As actors of different ages portray Jennifer across her meetings with Nate, every hope and fear the two have ever had for each other and themselves is on full display. As Jennifer goes through the stages of her life, at times showing up with her partner, or pregnant, or with issues she couldn’t have foreseen, there may never have been a more uncertain relationship. It is their commitment to seeing each other through this lifetime that may just get them through this ordeal. 27 JENNIFERS is literally a friendship for the ages.

Featuring: Colleen Camp, Rivkah Reyes, Gigi Bermingham, Alison Haislip, Sharron Shayne, Ayla O’Leary, Isadora Swann, Catia Ojeda, and Jayne Taini as JENNIFER. Introducing Elijah Irving as NATE.
