Logline

A romantic drama following two trans musicians — the disgraced ex-punk rocker son of a record label CEO and a guarded former pop star — after they are paired to write her an unlikely comeback hit.

Synopsis

This story is about a trans man and a trans woman falling in love over music. Max is a rich kid, drug addict ‘punk’ who just wants to prove to his dad that he deserves a second chance, and Ashley is a defeated singer/songwriter who lost her career after coming out as trans.

Like A Star Is Born, Once, or Malcolm & Marie, the leads’ chemistry is palpable, hot, and creatively passionate. The relationship blossoms voyeuristically in the tight quarters of the recording studio, as we redefine intimacy through the vulnerable music writing process.
