Abinash is a National award–winning writer, director, and producer from Nepal whose work has gained international recognition. His storytelling explores contemporary Nepali lives with emotional depth and a distinctive cinematic voice. His short film, ‘Lori’ (2022), competed for the Palme d’Or Short at Cannes, where it received a Special Jury Mention. He co-wrote Shambhala (2024), which premiered in the Main Competition at the Berlinale. Committed to nurturing emerging talent in Nepal, Abinash teaches at film colleges and conducts screenwriting workshops, often focusing on marginalized communities. He is currently completing his debut feature film, Elephants in the Fog.
