Alyona Kaporina is a Ukrainian producer and director, working between Ukraine and the UK. She combines creative direction with production, having produced her own films and currently collaborating with the internationally recognized Directory Films. Her recent documentary, The Rising Sun, won Best Documentary at the Manchester Film Festival, and her short film “2Lines/2Lives” received Best Short at the Toronto International Women’s Film Festival. Now, Alyona is producing two projects with Directory Films: the war drama Noah and the documentary The Fabulous World of Vasyl Kukharskyi. She graduated in directing from Kyiv’s Karpenko-Kary Theatre, Cinema, and Television University.
