Bio
With filmscience, Anish Savjani has produced ten feature films: Kelly Reichardt Meek’s
Cutoff, Wendy and Lucy and Old Joy; Joe Swanberg’s Alexander the Last, Nights and
Weekends and Hannah Takes the Stairs; Geoff Marslett’s Mars; Bob Byington’s Harmony
and Me; Spencer Parsons I’ll Come Running; and Steve Collins Gretchen. These films
have been nominated for three Spirit Awards, and they’ve screened at film festivals
around the world, including Cannes, Sundance, Toronto and Venice. Additionally, Anish
was the recipient of the Producers Award at the 2011 Independent Spirit Awards.

What was intended to be a romantic weekend between two lovers at a country house turns into an awkward family reckoning when the young man’s estranged father unexpectedly shows up with his new girlfriend. Family Tree explores these two couples on the verge of major life decisions and the fragments of a modern broken family.
