Bavaneedha Loganathan is a Sri Lankan filmmaker, producer, writer, film activist, and one of the first BIPOC Tamil women filmmakers from her region to gain international recognition. She is a Prince Claus Seed Award recipient, Berlinale Mastercard fellow, FIFF 2025 jury member, and a member of the NAPNET Asian Producers Network. Her work has been supported through Berlinale Talents, GMM, APSA, APN, Busan Asian Film School, NAFF Fantastic Film School, and other international platforms. A national award-winning filmmaker, she is the founder of BigEyes Short Film Lab and creator of one of the first LGBTQ+ children’s comic book projects in Tamil.
