Carolyn Mao is an award-winning producer who recently relocated to Los Angeles from New York. You and Me Both, by writer/director Jennifer Suhr, is a narrative feature she is producing along with Mollye Asher. The project is a recipient of the 2015 Tribeca All Access Grant. She is currently in post-production on Good Enough, Anna Rose King’s debut feature. In 2014, she co-launched the comedy web series platform, Thundershorts.com, producing series featuring Michael Showalter, Jim Gaffigan, Janeane Garofalo, Michael Che, and rising New York based comedic talent. Entertainment Weekly featured it in their column ‘6 online comedy series that should be on TV”. She produced the 2011 Gen Art Audience Award winning short, “Saeng-Il,” also by Jennifer Suhr. Previously, she worked as a development executive at Jane Startz Productions where she developed television, film and book properties, including the Emmy award winning children’s series Spooksville.
