Bio

Chanda Dancy is a recent graduate of the USC’s Advanced Studies in Scoring for Film and Television. She studied under composer Mike Post, received the Pete Carpenter Fellowship in Film Scoring sponsored by the BMI Foundation, was a scholarship composer at the 2003 Henry Mancini Institute, and was honored with the Henry Mancini Award from the ASCAP Foundation for Composition. Dancy has scored for MVP, an official Sundance Film Festival selection, and the critically acclaimed documentary What Are We Waiting For?, which was an official selection for the Vienna International Film Festival. She was one of three composers in the United States to be invited to the Slamdance Film Festival to score a documentary short for the ”On the Fly Films” program.
