Chris Bailey is a screenwriter originally from the Detroit, Michigan area. Most of his life was spent on the court playing basketball before discovering his love for film in college. After graduating from DePaul University in 2010 with a degree in Marketing, Bailey moved back to Michigan. He began doing business development for a transportation company, and also helped run a youth sports training business. Unsatisfied with his career path, Bailey realized that he wanted to follow his passion for screenwriting. The next year, he enrolled in UCLA’s Professional Program in Screenwriting, and took the yearlong course remotely. Upon completing the program, he decided to move to Los Angeles to be closer to the film industry. Bailey moved in October of 2012, and became a reader for a production company.
