Bio
David Allen Cress is best known for his work as producer of the Broadway Video/IFC Original show Portlandia (Peabody Award 2012, Emmy Award 2011, 2012). He has produced numerous films including two Oregon-based films for Gus Van Sant: Paranoid Park (Spirit Award Nominee) and Restless (Cannes Festival 60th Anniversary Award), among an array of film, commercials, music videos, web series, and television. He strives to assemble cohesive teams that bring out the best in each production, with projects having won awards at Sundance, Cannes, SXSW, Clio Awards and One Show. Cress is conversant with Oregon-based production and talent, having lived there for much of his professional life.
