Angolan filmmaker Fradique gained recognition with his MUBI debut, Air Conditioner (2020). He is a member of Science New Wave and a Film Independent Global Media Makers Fellow and an Oxbelly Fellow. In 2023, he was awarded the SFFILM Sloan Science in Cinema Fellowship and is currently developing his new feature film, Hold Time for Me. As a curator, Fradique has contributed to the African Film Festival in Cologne and served on the Berlinale Panorama Advisory Committee. In 2025, he joined the selection committee for Open Doors at the Locarno Film Festival.
