Francisco Lezama (Buenos Aires, 1987) is a director and screenwriter. His short films “La novia de Frankenstein’ (2015) and ‘Dear Renzo’ (2016) premiered at the New York Film Festival and Locarno. His latest short, ‘Un Movimiento Extraño’ (2024), premiered at Berlinale, where it won the Golden Bear for Best Short Film. His work has been released on MUBI, HBO, and Le Cinéma Club. Lezama has taught Film History at Universidad del Cine and worked at MALBA and the Aires Museum of Cinema. He is a Film Independent Global Media Makers Fellow and is currently developing his debut feature, The Two Landscapes.
