Ismahane Lahmar is a Tunisian filmmaker and producer whose work explores the intersection between intimacy and systems of control. She directed and produced J’irai au Diable (I Will Go To Hell), a dramedy released in Tunisian theaters and on Netflix MENA, and selected at international festivals.

She is currently in pre-production on Nhoucha, a gothic fantasy film shot in Tunisia, and developing The Seahorse, a dramedy examining how rational systems can produce invisible forms of violence.

Alongside her practice, she leads training programs for women in film in Tunisia and is training in intimacy coordination with the IDC
