Jaimar Marcano Vivas is an Afrovenezuelan producer, film critic and cultural manager working between independent cinema, cultural writing and collaborative networks. She has contributed film criticism and essays to Latin American magazines and editorial platforms focused on cinema and audiovisual thought. She is the co-founder of Manduca, an independent production house dedicated to alternative production models, documentary projects and experimental film practices. Her work explores the viability of collaborative ecosystems for filmmakers working in fragile cultural contexts. Marcano is an alumn of Global Media Makers and Berlinale Talents, where she also develops enREDadera, a network that connects Venezuelan filmmakers through collective learning and shared resources.
