Bio

Jing Ai Ng is a writer/director based in Los Angeles. Raised between Malaysia and Miami, she loves stories about crime and cultural alienation. Her short films have played at over 50 festivals worldwide, winning a Gold Screen at the Young Director Awards at the Cannes Lions as well as the Grand Prize at the Directors Guild of America (DGA) Student Film Awards. She participated in Film Independent’s Screenwriters Lab. Jing graduated from the American Film Institute Conservatory with a MFA in Directing and is set to shoot her debut feature, Forge — a Miami art forgery film—in the summer of 2024.

In the art world of Miami, siblings Raymond and Coco Zhang run a profitable forgery ring. When the Zhangs cross paths with millionaire Holden Lawrence, they are coerced into creating counterfeit masterpieces as a front for his old American family’s art collection. Meanwhile, FBI Art Crimes agent Emily Lee moves to South Florida and attempts to find the culprits behind a new string of forgeries.
