Bio

Originally from Kansas City, MO, Justin Begnaud is a Los Angeles based independent producer. He recently produced Ana Lily Amirpour’s debut feature, A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night, which world premiered at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival, and was the Opening Night selection of New Directors/New Films at the Film Society of Lincoln Center & the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. He was also the Associate Producer for William Saunders’ feature documentary Billy Mize & The Bakersfield Sound, which world premiered at the 2014 Los Angeles Film Festival. He is currently producing Anthony Onah’s directorial debut, Dara Ju.
Previously, Mr. Begnaud was Vice President at Grosvenor Park Media, and was the Director of Production at Film Finances, Inc. Prior to working in film, Mr. Begnaud was a television producer and worked on TV documentaries & non-fiction series for A&E Networks, AMC Networks, AT&T U-Verse, MTV Networks and NBC Universal. He began his film career working for Scott Rudin Productions, and wrote grants for the Tribeca Film Institute and the Museum of Modern Art while living in New York City. Mr. Begnaud holds a M.F.A. from the UCLA Graduate School of Theater, Film & Television – Producers Program, a M.S. in Fundraising Management & Nonprofit Administration from Columbia University in New York, and B.F.A./B.I.D. from Syracuse University. He is an active member of the Producers Guild of America, Film Independent, the International Film &T elevision Alliance, and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
