Bio

Lexie (b. Ohio) is a multimedia artist centering bodies, homes, queerness, and cyclical violence. They’re a Jerome Hill Fellow, RAINN National Leadership Council member, and Lambda Literary Award Finalist. They’ve worked with abuse survivors for nearly 15 years, underlining fellow trans CSA victims, and have led 140+ relevant events. Lexie integrated personal experiences into the acclaimed The Ship We Built, the first middle-grade novel centering and written by a trans boy at a major US publisher. Their work has been in Them, Bitch, Autostraddle, etc. Their short films have premiered globally. What Will I Become? is their debut feature documentary.
