Maksud Hossain is a Bangladeshi writer-director whose debut feature, Saba, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival before screening at more than 100 festivals worldwide, including Busan, Red Sea, Göteborg, Sydney, and Raindance. A Student Academy Award winner, he has also directed over 15 short films, and more than 200 commercials. His work is drawn to intimate human relationships, exploring love, family, and moral complexity with emotional honesty and social insight. He has developed projects through Global Media Makers, Asian Project Market, and Produire au Sud. He is currently developing his second feature, Babymoon.
